Blue Woods
Returning to the woods in the grounds of Tir na nOg, near Drymen, in 2025, I made a new series of works, which were hung from an oak tree in the woods for over 6 months. Learning from the experience of the ‘A Walk in the Woods’ series, all of these pieces were coloured using cyanotype rather than dye as it responds better to being out in the elements. Over time, the sun, wind and rain have all impacted them, with moss green beginning to appear and marks from bark and falling leaves integrating on the fabrics. The woods began to claim the fabric inspired by them as their own.
